From 2005 to 2015, the population of Uganda increased by 9,568,157 people (a 34.2% growth), while Zimbabwe gained 1,915,581 people (a 15.3% growth).

For the next 10 years, from 2015 to 2025, Uganda gained 14,959,223 (a 39.9% growth), while Zimbabwe's population increased by 2,811,079 (a 19.5% growth).

Uganda was ranked 40th most populous country in 2005 and is 30th in 2025. Zimbabwe was ranked 70th in 2005 and ranked 74th now.

The UN's World Population Prospects forecasts that with changing growth rate trends in 25 years (in 2050) Uganda's population will grow by 62.8% to 85,431,202 people with a rank change from 30th to 20th. The population of Zimbabwe will increase by 50.3% to 25,866,397 people and rank change from 74th to 65th.
